Employee Mental Health & Wellbeing Program (EAP)
Being a trainee is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming at times. Whether you’re stressed, dealing with personal stuff or just need someone to talk to, support is here for you as part of your traineeship.
The Employee Mental Health & Wellbeing Program gives you FREE, confidential help whenever you need it — so you never have to go through challenges alone.
The program is run by an independent service (Converge International) not your Host Employer or AFL SportsReady, so you can feel confident that everything you share stays private and confidential.
What kind of help can I get?
You’ll be connected with a qualified clinician who’s trained to support young people through all kinds of challenges. Some of the things they can help with include:
- First Nations
- LGBTQI+
- Spiritual & Pastoral Care
- DV & FV
- Stress (personal or work-related)
- Mental health concerns
- Relationship or family matters
- Nutrition and healthy habits
- Financial coaching
- Conflict or tension at work
- Career questions or challenges
- Grief or loss
- Personal crisis or trauma
The best part?
It’s free for all trainees. It’s confidential – nothing you say goes back to your manager or workplace. AND it’s available anytime, anywhere.
