From local ovals to the elite stage, WA Football makes football accessible, inclusive and open to everyone. They also proudly hold the licenses for WA’s two AFL clubs – Fremantle Football Club and West Coast Eagles.

The Talent Programs Trainee will help drive, enhance and promote the value of Umpires within the WA Football Community by supporting program delivery, and administration within the football structures of Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities: The role assists in planning and delivering all operational aspects of WA State Academy programs, including training sessions, trials, camps, competitions and the management of program logistics. The Trainee will support key staff, maintain strong relationships with WAFL and WAFLW clubs, and contribute to development and education initiatives. The role will also include communication support, maintaining player databases and information, as well as upholding the integrity and brand through stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, general football knowledge and the ability to work well with others. They should be open to learning and contributing in a culturally informed environment. The trainee will need basic Microsoft Office skills and must be able to work both in a team and independently. A valid driver’s license is required, as well as some weekend and after-hours work.

National Training Wage from: $28,100 – $43,500, plus 12% Superannuation
