AFL Queensland is home to over 200,000 participants, including those in the Northern Rivers region. Offering pathways from the introductory NAB AFL Auskick program to the AFL Masters Competition. AFL Queensland supports football at all levels, fostering growth and participation across the state.

The Club Development & Experience Trainee provides essential administrative and operational support to strengthen community football clubs across Queensland. The role helps clubs become more sustainable, well-governed and welcoming, while contributing to positive club experiences throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities: This role provides hands-on administrative and coordination support to help community football clubs have a great experience. The trainee assists with keeping records up to date, supporting club communications and helping track engagement and outcomes. Working alongside different teams, the role supports programs, projects and education activities that strengthen clubs and grow participation. The trainee also helps improve inclusivity and connection at club level, while supporting volunteers, participants and officials through clear, consistent and friendly support.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about community sport and keen to learn and develop new skills. The successful candidate will have strong communication and organisational skills, with good attention to detail. They will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and bring a positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn. An interest in building a career in sport and an understanding of the community football environment would be highly regarded.

National Training Wage from: $27,300 – $42,100, plus 12% Superannuation
