AFL Queensland is home to over 200,000 participants, including those in the Northern Rivers region. Offering pathways from the introductory NAB AFL Auskick program to the AFL Masters Competition. AFL Queensland supports football at all levels, fostering growth and participation across the state.

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of community football programs through effective administration, stakeholder communication and project coordination, while building capability and contributing to positive team outcomes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities: The Sports Administration Trainee supports projects including conferences and events, manages incoming email and telephone communication with community football stakeholders and club. The trainee will also support maintaining department databases and reports, assist with coordinating meetings and documentation under manager guidance, while contributing positively to the overall success of the team at AFL Queensland.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, strong time management and organisation abilities and a commitment to delivering quality programs. They should be able to work well both independently and as part of a team, show attention to detail, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. A strong interest in building a career in sports management and understanding of the community football environment is preferred.

National Training Wage from: $27,300 – $42,100, plus 12% Superannuation
