The Sports and Recreation Trainee supports PE lessons, lunchtime sports and active play programs, while promoting safe, inclusive and positive participation across the school.
Key Responsibilities: This role supports teachers and students in the delivery of practical classes, sports carnivals and special events, contributing to the effective running of the school’s sporting programs and facilities. The Trainee will also organise equipment and uniforms and assist with community engagement. The position includes record keeping, maintaining facilities/equipment and completing a range of general administrative and operational tasks.
The Trainee is expected to actively support the school’s ethos with a willingness to assist others and an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential. The position may include work before or after school hours as required. Applicants are encouraged to have a valid First Aid certificate or be willing to obtain. Candidates are encouraged to clearly outline their skills, experience and suitability for this Traineeship in their application.
National Training Wage from: $27,300 – $42,100, plus 12% Superannuation
