Clarence High School, established in 1959 as the Eastern Shore’s first high school, has a proud record of academic and sporting achievement and a reputation for excellence in the creative arts and information technology. Reporting to the Head of Sport, the Sports and Physical Education Trainee will support the HPE staff and help increase student participation in quality sporting programs. They will work closely with school staff to assist in delivering programs and events throughout the year, all while working toward a nationally recognised qualification.
Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will undertake a range of responsibilities, such as supporting the delivery of HPE curriculum and events. This includes assisting with the operations of the interschool carnivals, sports days, athletic carnivals, coaching school teams and aiding teaching staff during school camps and excursions. The role also involves record keeping, maintaining facilities and equipment, as well as carrying out a range of general administrative tasks.
The Trainee is expected to actively support the School’s ethos and demonstrate a willingness to help others with a positive, enthusiastic attitude. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, be highly organised, and work well with others. A valid driver’s licence is required, along with some weekend and after-hours work. National Training Wage from: $28,100 – $43,500, plus 12% Superannuation
