Lumen Christi Catholic College is a vibrant co-educational Kindergarten to Year 12 College located in beautiful Pambula Beach on the Far South Coast of New South Wales. This traineeship involves supporting school sport and broader faculty activities. Ideal for someone organised, active and keen to work with students.
Key Responsibilities:
PDHPE TRAINEE | This role supports the PDHPE department with a range of administrative and practical duties, including organising teams, travel, permission slips and updates to the noticeboard/website. It involves assisting with the coordination of school sports programs, events and carnivals, as well as preparing newsletters and articles on school achievements. Other responsibilities include coaching and training students, maintaining sports equipment and resources, and contributing to the delivery of fitness programs, camps and other College sporting activities.
FACULTY SUPPORT TRAINEE | Working closely with the Assistant Principal – Pastoral Care and the Director of Studies, the Faculty Support Trainee assists across multiple College areas, including Pastoral Care, Religious Education, Creative and Performing Arts, and Science. The role involves supporting lessons and activities, helping organise events/ excursions and contributing to programs like retreats, camps and community initiatives. Working under teacher guidance, the trainee provides hands-on assistance in classrooms and across faculty areas to enhance student learning and engagement.
Applicants for this role should have a strong commitment to the Catholic ethos of Lumen Christi and an interest in teaching, pastoral or social work, or coaching. The position may require occasional weekend work, as well as duties before or after school hours. A driver’s licence, Surf Rescue Certificate and First Aid Certificate are all preferred, or applicants should be willing to obtain them. Applicants are encouraged to clearly outline their skills, experience and suitability for this traineeship in their application.
National Training Wage from: $27,300 – $42,100, plus 12% Superannuation
