The Health and Physical Education Trainee provides support to the Health and Physical Education (HPE), Outdoor Education and Sport programs. This includes the preparation, maintenance, and organisation of sports equipment and facilities to ensure high-quality learning experiences with safe participation for all students.
Key Responsibilities: This role supports teachers and students in the delivery of practical classes, interschool sport, carnivals, outdoor education, assist with coaching, and special events, contributing to the effective running of the school’s sporting programs and facilities. The Trainee will also organise equipment, maintain team uniforms, and assist with community engagement. The position includes record keeping, maintaining facilities / equipment and completing a range of general administrative and operational tasks.
The Trainee is expected to actively support the school’s ethos with a willingness to assist others and an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential. The position may involve weekend work and travel throughout the year. Applicants must have or be willing to attain a Community Surf Rescue Certificate and a First Aid Certificate. They will also be able to work before or after school hours as required. Candidates are encouraged to clearly outline their skills, experience and suitability for this Traineeship in their application.
National Training Wage from: $28,400-$43,700, plus 12% Superannuation
