The Performing Arts Trainee supports the delivery of Performing Arts programs across the college by ensuring resources, equipment and materials are well-organised and accessible. This position plays an important part in fostering a creative and inspiring environment where students can engage fully in Drama, Music, Dance, Media and Visual Arts.
Key Responsibilities: The Performing Arts Trainee provides practical support to the Head of Arts and Director of Music. They are responsible for maintaining equipment, costumes and materials, ensuring all Performing Arts resources and spaces are well organised and ready for lessons. The role contributes to events and publications such as newsletters, website and the yearbook, while also helping promote the Arts across the college through displays and presentations of student work. As well as assisting with the coordination of costumes, sets, props and lighting equipment for school productions and events.
This position offers the chance to gain real-world experience in arts administration, production logistics and education support. To be successful, the Trainee will demonstrate enthusiasm for the performing arts, strong organisational and interpersonal skills, reliability and a willingness to learn and contribute to a creative and collaborative team environment. The role may involve supporting school events outside regular hours, including some evenings and weekends. National Training Wage from: $28,100 – $43,500, plus 12% Superannuation
