Arts Projects Australia (APA) is a leading independent arts and event management company dedicated to producing a diverse array of cultural events and international tours nationally and within the regions. With a rich history spanning over two decades since its establishment in 1997, APA has cultivated strong partnerships with festivals, producers, and cultural organisations to bring captivating performing arts projects to audiences nationally and across the region. APA currently assumes the pivotal role of event manager and producer for one of Australia’s most renowned music festivals, WOMADelaide –APA also provides management services and presentation partnership to Adelaide’s largest winter event, Illuminate.

This roles provides the opportunity to develop skills in arts administration, producing and event management. The position supports the Producer across a range of projects and contributes to the successful delivery of touring programs, as well as major events including WOMADelaide and Illuminate Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will assist in collating and confirming information and requirements for artists and projects. They will support administrative and logistical needs for touring projects and festival programs in consultation with the Producer and Directors, liaising with key members of project teams in Operations, Production and Marketing as required. The role includes planning and coordinating travel logistics for visiting artists in line with contract terms, including flights, accommodation and ground transport, while tracking associated costs. The Trainee will also support the drafting of contracts and agreements, as well as undertake artist liaison duties with assigned groups.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for the arts, strong organisational skills, the ability to meet deadlines and excellent written and verbal communication. Familiarity with office computer programs, together with the ability to work with budgets and spreadsheets. The Trainee should be willing to assist others, bring enthusiasm to all aspects of the role and show initiative in taking an active role in planning.
