The Education Support Trainee will work under the direction and supervision of classroom teachers to enhance the wellbeing and learning outcomes of students. The Trainee will provide assistance both within the classroom and in a variety of school settings, contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will assist students on an individual or group basis in specific learning areas, support communication between students and teachers and provide basic physical and emotional care as required. The role includes contributing to team meetings, helping with supervision during playground activities, excursions, sporting events, preparation / organisation of resources, equipment and teaching materials. The Trainee will observe and monitor student participation and achievement, bring relevant matters to the teacher’s attention and support communication between teachers, students and parents. Other responsibilities include assisting with translation of documents, meal preparation / service, ensuring learning areas and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean condition.
This is a Traineeship opportunity that provides practical experience in a school environment. The successful applicant will be expected to actively support the school’s ethos. The Trainee should show a willingness to assist others, bring enthusiasm to all aspects of the role and demonstrate a commitment to creating a positive and supportive school environment. Applicants must have strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, the ability to work collaboratively and the initiative to take an active role in a wide range of educational activities. The Trainee may also be required to attend camps, support school functions and provide assistance during lessons. Flexibility is important, as the position will involve additional hours at certain times of the year and during major school events. The successful applicant will be required to complete Approved Mandatory Notification training (RRHAN Masterclass) upon appointment.

National Training Wage from: $28,100 – $43,500, plus 12% Superannuation
