Established in 1978, Safety Bay Senior High School has been part of the local community for over forty years and now caters to more than 1,300 students from Year 7 to Year 12. As an Independent Public School, Safety Bay Senior High School offers students quality public education that opens doors to future opportunities, whether in the workplace or through further education and training.

The Trainee will work closely with school staff to support the delivery of programs and events throughout the year. This role is ideal for someone passionate about health, physical education and outdoor activities.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee supports the delivery of programs, attends events, and assists with sporting or recreational activities. They keep records, maintain equipment, schedule coaches or umpires, as well as supporting staff during school camps and outdoor education activities.

Applicants should demonstrate flexibility, a willingness to support others, and an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential. Applicants must also be able to attend camps, excursions and work before or after school hours as required. It is essential they are a strong swimmer and be capable/willing to attain a Community Surf Rescue Qualification (training provided by Safety Bay SHS).

National Training Wage from: $27,000 to $29,000, plus 12% Superannuation
