Reporting to the Head of Sport, the Sport and Recreation Trainee will work closely with HPE staff to support the delivery of quality sporting programs and encourage student participation. This position will play an integral role in the coordination, organisation and facilitation of sports-related activities across the Secondary campuses.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will engage in a diverse range of tasks, including attending camps, excursions and outdoor education activities. They will assist with organising umpires, coaches, team kits, maintaining sports equipment / storerooms, coordinating transport and venues for events. The role also involves supporting the planning for carnivals and camps, managing WHS risk assessments and communicating with students, families, colleagues and external services. Under supervision, the Trainee will help run PE lessons, provide First Aid, oversee the organisation of daily equipment and camping gear.

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports administration, coaching and event management. The successful candidate will develop skills in communication, planning and teamwork while contributing to the success of the school’s sporting programs.

National Training Wage from: $27,300 – $42,000 pro-rata, plus 12% Superannuation
