The Trainee will assist teaching staff across a range of areas. Supporting learning activities both on and offsite, contribute to the organisation of equipment, facilities and assist with College sporting teams, carnivals, camps and excursions.
Key Responsibilities: The role will support the delivery of lessons by preparing and collecting equipment, assisting with supervision, managing data entry tasks and helping with behaviour management. They will assist in the facilitation of outdoor activities such as bushwalking, canoeing, orienteering, mountain biking, abseiling, rock climbing, play a key role in camps and excursions. The Trainee will also help with the management and coaching including tryouts, training sessions, game day organisation, umpiring and uniform preparation. They will support the running of carnivals, including Athletics, Swimming, Cross Country, Triathlon, AFL, Soccer, Basketball, Netball and other events. Duties include preparing team lists, coordinating logistics and assisting with planning, set-up and administration. The role also involves maintaining / organising equipment, storage spaces, liaising with staff about requirements, undertaking stocktakes and arranging repairs or replacements when needed.
The Trainee is expected to actively support the school’s ethos and willingness to support others with an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential and have a keen interest in teaching. The position may involve weekend work and travel throughout the year. National Training Wage from: 28,100 – $43, 500 (Pro-rata), plus 12% Superannuation
