    The program is open to all high school students and recent school leavers who are:

    • Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander peoples
    • At least 15 years of age
  • plus Created with Sketch. minus Created with Sketch. WHAT TYPES OF TRAINEESHIPS ARE AVAILABLE?
    Warumilang Program – traineeships support First Nations peoples to identify meaningful employment opportunities that create rewarding experiences. The program supports First Nations peoples to thrive in their careers by bringing new perspectives, values and capabilities to the workforce.
    • Full-time: 12-month placement in an organisation
    • Part-time: 2-year placement in an organisation
    • School-based: 2-year placement in an organisation working approximately one day a week (depending on your state requirement) whilst completing senior school

    We are committed to ‘closing the gap’ by offering many jobs/traineeships specifically for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

    Our traineeships combine work with study.
    It’s the ideal mix of:

    • Practical experience in the workplace
    • Formal qualification (Certificate II-IV)

    Trainees are paid at the National Training Wage Award.

    All Trainees are assigned a Field Officer and Educator to support you throughout your traineeship.

    First Nation Australians can face many challenges at the beginning and throughout their career journey. To help mitigate any difficulties, we provide all our First Nation Cadets with AN EXCLUSIVE FIRST NATIONS MENTOR that provides personal, cultural and career pathway support.
