Delivered in partnership with Commonwealth Bank Australia, the Indigenous School-Based Trainee Program provides real workplace experience, builds valuable skills, and creates meaningful pathways to employment and future success.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Earn while you complete your secondary school studies – Higher School Certificate (HSC) or State/ Territory equivalent
- Gain hands-on experience with the Commonwealth Bank
- Work 1 day per week while completing a nationally recognised qualification
- Supportive team environment
- Support from a dedicated AFL SportsReady Employment Coach and First Indigenous Mentor to help you achieve your goals

We’re looking for students who:

- Are currently in Year 10 and Year 11 (2026)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver excellent customer service
- General administrative support
- Client and customer relations
- Respond to customer service enquiries
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A permanent right to work in Australia
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
- Capacity to problem-solve
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
SALARY
As the successful candidate, you will receive:
- School-based trainees will receive the National Training Wage Award.
