The Participation Operations Trainee provides essential administrative and operational support to the broader Participation team across Queensland, allowing our on-the-ground teams to deliver exceptional experiences to all participants.

Key Responsibilities: The role will play a key part in AFL Queensland’s Participation Leadership team by providing administrative support across areas such as deployment and rostering of staff, AFL & AFLW NAB AFL Auskick Half Time games, school competitions and programs, and also our fleet of over 250 casual staff. Through supporting these areas, the position will be working across systems and platforms such as Deputy, Salesforce and the full MS Office Suite. In addition, the role also supports programs, projects and initiatives that support the broader team in an administrative capacity.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about sport, is comfortable being based in an office-based environment performing administrative tasks, is proficient with technology, as well as being highly organised with strong communication skills. They will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team and bring a positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn. An interest in building a career in sport and an understanding of the community football and participation environment would be highly regarded. The trainee will gain hands-on experience with the holistic football participation ecosystem, while completing a Certificate 3 in Business. The role focuses on assisting and supporting the AFL Queensland Participation Leadership team who provide operational support to the broader AFL Queensland team.

National Training Wage from: $28,106 – $43,576, plus 12% Superannuation
