The Department of Transport & Planning brings together all transport modes to design, plan, build and operate Victoria’s transport system. Their job is to further integrate the transport network and improve the delivery of services to Victorians for simpler, quicker and safer journeys that connect people and places and support Victoria’s prosperity and liveability. The Road Safety Education Team is a Group within the Department of Transport and Planning, and is responsible for responsible for delivering programs, projects and new initiatives that deliver outcomes and goals of Victoria’s Strategy and Action Plan to address Road Trauma Among Child and Youth.
The Business Administration Trainee will gain hands-on experience while learning the ins and outs of a busy, supportive team. This role is a great opportunity to build admin and communication skills, work with a variety of people and be part of programs like Bike Ed and the myLearners Free Lesson program. With training, mentoring and opportunities to grow, the trainee will play an important role in helping things run smoothly while developing valuable, real-world skills.
Key Responsibilities: In this role, the Trainee will support day-to-day admin tasks such as scheduling meetings and responding to enquiries. They will help keep the team organised and assist with coordinating activities. The Trainee will also support the delivery of the Bike Ed and myLearners Free Lesson programs by communicating with participants, schools and community organisations and sharing important information. There may be opportunities to assist with training sessions and workshops, while building positive relationships with a range of people. An interest in cycling or active transport is a bonus and a current Working with Children Check is required.

National Training Wage from: $28,100 – $43,600, plus 12% Superannuation
