The Sport and Recreation Trainee supports the delivery and coordination of the school’s sport and physical activity programs. This includes the preparation, maintenance and organisation of sports equipment and facilities to ensure high-quality learning experiences with safe participation for all students.
Key Responsibilities: The role aims to build student engagement in sport, reduce administrative workload for teachers and contribute to the smooth running of sport and recreation events. The trainee assists with day-to-day organisation, communication, supervision and operational tasks associated with school sport and inter-school competitions. The position includes record keeping, maintaining facilities and completing a range of general administrative and operational tasks.
The Trainee is expected to actively support the school’s ethos with a willingness to assist others and an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential. The position may involve weekend work and travel throughout the year. Applicants must also be able to work before or after school hours as required. National Training Wage from: $27,300 – $42,100 pro-rata, plus 12% Superannuation
