Reporting to the Sport Teacher, the Trainee will support the operation of sporting facilities and programs at the school. This role provides hands-on experience across a variety of school-based sporting and outdoor education activities, while contributing to the smooth delivery of physical education programs.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will assist with the organisation and coordination of inter-school sport, recreation and outdoor education programs, including camps and excursions. They will support staff with the setup, conduct and pack up of classes, provide first aid when required and help deliver sessions under supervision. The role also includes maintaining equipment and facilities, preparing uniform and equipment kits, assisting with transport and venue bookings and helping to organise lunch / recess activities. The Trainee will also be involved in school carnivals, learn to swim programs and general sporting events, while communicating effectively with students, staff and community members.

The successful applicant will have a strong interest in sport and/or teaching. The Trainee is expected to actively support the school’s ethos with a willingness to assist others, bring an enthusiastic attitude to all aspects of the role and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive school environment. Applicants should have strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, the ability to work collaboratively and a readiness to show initiative while taking an active role in a wide range of sporting and educational activities. They must also be available to attend camps, excursions and work before or after school hours as required.

National Training Wage from: $28,100-$43,500, plus 12.0% Superannuation
