Under guidance, the Trainee will support staff and help increase student participation in sporting programs. Participation in camps and outdoor education activities will be part of the traineeship.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will assist across both the Primary and Secondary campuses (a driver’s licence is a requirement for this reason), contributing to the organisation and delivery of sporting programs and events. This includes setting up and supervising after-school sports, organising umpires, coaches, maintaining the gym, storerooms and equipment register. The role involves assisting with the planning of carnivals, camps, outdoor education programs, coordinating transport, team kits, managing data entry, sporting communications and equipment requirements.

The applicant must be willing to actively support the school’s ethos and assist other with an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential. The successful candidate will be well organised, able to work both independently and as part of a team and confident in communicating with students, staff and the wider community. Applicants will need to demonstrate initiative, reliability and a genuine interest in sport and physical activity. From time to time, the Trainee may be required to work outside normal hours to support events or camps. Applicants are encouraged to have a First Aid certificate or be willing to obtain one and a Bronze Medallion is desirable. Candidates are encouraged to clearly outline their skills and suitability for this Traineeship in their application.

National Training Wage from: $28,100 – $43,500, plus 12% Superannuation
