Sharpen your knives and clean those aprons because HOSTPLUS has a great opportunity for you.

An apprenticeship at one of Australia’s leading restaurants is up for grabs through the ‘Cook For Your Career’ competition (C4YC). Entries are now open.

C4YC gives anyone of working age* and a passion for cooking the chance to win an apprenticeship at one of Australia’s leading restaurants, working with some of Australia’s top chefs.

This year’s line up offers fantastic opportunities. C4YC has teamed up with Shane Delia at Maha (Victoria), Peter Doyle @ The Quay (New South Wales), Camillo Crugnale at Assaggio (South Australia), Graham Taute at Point Revolving Restaurant (Tasmania), David Coomer at Print Hall (Western Australia), Nick Moutou at Il Piatto, Sky City (Northern Territory) and Ryan Squires at Esquire (Queensland).

C4YC is looking for entries from all over Australia; so if you’re a super keen cook who wants to work in a professional kitchen, apply today! You don’t have to be a trainee chef to apply; it could be your mum, dad, best friend or anyone with a dream to work behind the stoves.

Entries are now open and close on 7th December 2012 at 5pm.

The top two finalists will compete against each other at the Grand Final Cook-off during the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival presented by Bank of Melbourne event Put Victoria on Your Table: Cellar Door and Artisan Market. The Cook-off is held at Como House, Melbourne in March 2013 and the winner will take to the kitchen with their new mentor and get their career off to a flying start.
