The Trainee will work directly under the guidance of the Sports and Wellness Centre Manager and undertake duties across multiple faculties such as Health, Physical Education, Outdoor Education and VCAL to support staff and students in both administrational and hands on duties.
Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include assisting with the coordination of camps and excursions and support the delivery of programs. Maintain equipment / facilities, manage inventory and assist with the planning / execution of inter-school sports events and house carnivals. The role includes general set-up and support during classes, as well as providing administrative support such as data entry, tracking and maintaining student reporting systems. The Trainee will also contribute to the promotion and marketing of activities/ programs.
The successful applicant will be a positive role model for students with a strong interest in sport and/or teaching and will actively support the school’s ethos. They should demonstrate strong organisational skills, show initiative, bring enthusiasm to all aspects of the role and be motivated to contribute across a wide range of activities. Excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and parents are essential. The Trainee may be required to attend camps, support school functions, provide assistance during lessons, work additional hours during major school events and deliver first aid if required. They will also contribute to creating a positive and supportive school environment. National Training Wage from: $28,000 – $45,000, plus 12% Superannuation
