St Kilda Football Club is one of the foundation clubs of the AFL with more than 65,000 members. Since 2020, the Saints have fielded a team in the AFL Women’s competition. The club is proud of their contribution to the community, which includes a range of programs designed to foster inclusion and provide an opportunity for every young footballer in the region, to reach their potential.

The Membership and Reception Trainee plays a vital role to the club, with a focus on customer interaction and service. They will be report to the Consumer Sales Manager and will be responsible for ensuring a professional and positive experience during all interactions with club members and stakeholders via phone, email or in-person. The Trainee will also be the first point of contact for visitors, general membership enquiries and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will be tasked with reception and club administration duties, such as welcoming visitors, managing inbound and outbound calls, sorting mail, courier deliveries and responding to general email enquiries. This role requires someone with an outstanding phone manner, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, attention to detail plus the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Other tasks include processing new and renewing memberships, inputting data for Consumer Operations, assist the club’s fundraising initiatives and general administrative tasks as required.

The Trainee is expected to represent St Kilda Football Club with professionalism at all times, bringing a service-focused approach to customer and membership interactions. For this position, a proactive attitude, strong organisational skills and a commitment to maintaining Club standards are essential. The trainee must be available for Saints home games at Marvel Stadium and club functions, which includes weekends.

National Training Wage from: $28,100 – $43,500, plus 12.0% Superannuation
