Located in Lenah Valley this school offers Kindergarten to Grade 6 in a caring, family-focused environment grounded in Christ’s teaching. Students are encouraged to show their best, build confidence and take pride in their learning. The school provides engaging, activity-based programs, including Physical Education, Specialist Drama, Music, Library and Japanese, supported by a diverse and welcoming community.

The role of the trainee will support the operation of facilities and programs at the school. Assisting with a wide range of sport, recreation and classroom activities while contributing to a positive, organised and student-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities: The Education Support Trainee will attend camps and excursions, may be able to provide first aid response when required, assist with the organisation and coordination of interschool sport and outdoor programs and help book transport and venues.
Supporting Physical Education staff with the set-up, conduct and clean-up of practical classes, contribute to sports administration, coaching and prepare sporting uniforms, equipment and kits.
The Trainee will assist with carnivals and learn to swim programs, communicate with external services, colleagues, students and families and take responsibility for general maintenance of equipment and facilities. The role includes following defined policies, assisting with Literacy and Numeracy support in classes, coordinating lunchtime programs, providing general classroom support, assisting with the school’s soccer program and working with students who may have additional needs.

The Trainee is expected to actively support the school’s ethos, assist others where needed and maintain an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to fostering a positive and supportive school environment is essential.
