The Sports and Physical Education Trainee position is a structured role designed to provide a practical experience in the HPE Learning Area and Sports Department. The Trainee, will work closely with school staff to support the delivery of programs and events throughout the year, while working toward a nationally recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will undertake a range of responsibilities, such as supporting the delivery of HPE curriculum and events. This includes assisting with the operations of the interschool carnivals, sports days, athletic carnivals, coaching school teams and aiding teaching staff during school camps and excursions. The role also involves record keeping, maintaining facilities and equipment, as well as carrying out a range of general administrative tasks.

The Trainee is expected to actively support the School’s ethos and willingness to support others with an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential. The position may involve weekend work and travel throughout the year. Applicants must also be able to work before or after school hours as required. Applicants are encouraged to clearly outline their skills, experience and suitability for this traineeship in their application.

National Training Wage from: $28,400 – $43,700, plus 12% Superannuation
