The role has been designed to assist with administrative tasks and provide hands-on support to the school’s operations both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities: The Sport and Recreation Trainee will play an important role in supporting the College’s sporting and physical education programs. Working closely with PE staff, the Trainee will assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of a variety of sporting events, carnivals and excursions. Responsibilities will include equipment setup and pack down, supporting teachers during PE lessons, assisting in the organisation of sports activities and providing general administrative support where required. The Trainee will also contribute to maintaining sporting facilities and resources to ensure they are safe, organised and ready for use.

The applicant must be willing to actively support the school’s ethos and assist others with an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential. The successful candidate will be well organised, able to work both independently and as part of a team and confident in communicating with students, staff and the wider community. From time to time, the Trainee may be required to work outside normal hours to support events or camps. Candidates are encouraged to clearly outline their skills and suitability for this Traineeship in their application.

National Training Wage from: $27,300 – $42,100, plus 12% Superannuation
