South Street Primary School takes pride in creating strong connections with students and their families, ensuring they experience a sense of belonging within both their school and the local community.

This role is designed to help the Trainee gain valuable hands-on experience in the education sector, learning practical skills that contribute to classroom support and student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will assist teaching staff by performing non-teaching duties and participating in classroom activities. They will help prepare learning areas and materials, support children with additional learning needs and provide individual assistance as directed by teachers. The Trainee will contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment while developing the skills and knowledge needed for a future career in education.

This traineeship offers on-the-job training, mentoring and practical experience in a school environment. The Trainee should show a willingness to assist others, bring enthusiasm to all aspects of the role and demonstrate a commitment to creating a positive and supportive school environment. Applicants must have strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, the ability to work collaboratively and the initiative to take an active role in a wide range of educational activities.
