At Westall Secondary College, dedicated teaching and education support staff work collaboratively in teams to plan and facilitate a teaching a learning program that meets the needs of all students. Their focus is on a personalised learning approach helps ensure every student is nurtured, challenged and connected in their growth as a person and as a learner.

The purpose of this role is to provide technical support to students and staff by maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, devices and digital resources. The trainee will contribute to ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of all technology used in teaching, learning and administration across the school.

Key Responsibilities: The IT Support Trainee will assist with setting up and maintaining school devices and software, while responding to service requests in a timely and professional manner. They help manage digital resources, classroom AV equipment, ensuring all technology areas are safe, organised and well maintained. The Trainee will also support teachers and students with practical technology use, including digital learning tools and STEM-related activities.

The Trainee is expected to actively support the school’s ethos and demonstrate a willingness to assist others with an enthusiastic attitude. An interest in technology and a desire to develop practical IT skills will be highly regarded. Applicants are encouraged to clearly outline their skills, experience and suitability for this traineeship in their application.

National Training Wage from: $28,100 – $43,500, plus 12% Superannuation
