The Sport and Recreation Trainee provides support to the Health and Physical Education (HPE), Outdoor Education and Sport programs. This includes the preparation, maintenance and organisation of sports equipment and facilities to ensure high-quality learning experiences with safe participation for all students.
Key Responsibilities: This role supports teachers and students in the delivery of practical classes, interschool sport, carnivals and special events, contributing to the effective running of the school’s sporting programs and facilities. The Trainee will also organise equipment and uniforms and assist with community engagement. The position includes record keeping, maintaining facilities / equipment and completing a range of general administrative and operational tasks.
The Trainee is expected to actively support the school’s ethos with a willingness to assist others and an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential. The position may involve weekend work and travel throughout the year. Applicants must also be able to work before or after school hours as required. National Training Wage from: $27,300 – $42,100, plus 12% Superannuation
