St Aloysius College is a Catholic school for girls, situated in Adelaide, South Australia. St Aloysius College, also known as “SAC”, was established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1880 and educates over 1300 students from Reception to Year 12.

The Trainee will work directly under the guidance of the Sport Co-Ordinator and undertake duties within the Health and Physical Education Faculty.

Key Responsibilities: This role involves supporting teachers in the Physical Education area with organisation, administration and practical duties while contributing to the overall running of school sport. The Trainee will assist staff by preparing and maintaining equipment for lessons, ensuring the storage areas are well organised and reporting any items requiring repair or replacement. Theyv will help teaching staff in the delivery of lessons, provide support during Sports Days, Carnivals and special events and assist with the running and supervision of out-of-school activities. The Trainee will also take part in school functions, contribute to general administration tasks and work alongside teachers to enhance the sporting and co-curricular program.

The successful applicant will be a positive role model for students with a strong interest in sport and/or teaching and will actively support the school’s ethos. They should demonstrate strong organisational skills, show initiative, bring enthusiasm to all aspects of the role and be motivated to contribute across a wide range of activities. Excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and parents are essential. The Trainee may be required to attend camps, support school functions, provide assistance during lessons, work additional hours during major school events and deliver first aid if required. They will also be expected to complete Approved Mandatory Notification training (RRHAN Masterclass) upon appointment and contribute to creating a positive and supportive school environment. National Training Wage from: $27,300 – $43,500, plus 12% Superannuation
