Applecross Senior High School is a public co-educational high school located in Ardross, a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Established in 1958, the school is situated in a pleasant near-riverside setting.

The primary purpose of this role is to support the operation of sporting facilities and programs at the school.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will assist with the delivery of programs and services, prepare and set up classes, coordinate interschool sports and recreation programs, manage records and databases and assist with the general maintenance of equipment and facilities.

The successful applicant will have a strong interest in sport and/or teaching with knowledge and experience in an Outdoor Recreation setting. The Trainee is expected to actively support the school’s ethos with a willingness to assist others and bring an enthusiastic attitude to all aspects of the role. A commitment to fostering a positive and supportive school environment is essential. Applicants must also be available to attend camps, excursions and work before or after school hours when required. Strong swimming ability is essential, ideally supported by a Community Surf Rescue Certificate.

National Training Wage from: $28,400-$43,700, plus 12.0% Superannuation
