The Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn plays a crucial role in education in both the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales. It covers 88,000 square kilometres, encompassing the entire ACT and extending from Pambula on the south coast to Crookwell in the north and to the western point of Lake Cargelligo. The Canteen Trainee supports the Canteen Manager by providing professional, efficient and proactive assistance in the day-to-day operations of the canteen.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will assist with food preparation, including cooking and serving daily food and drink orders. The role also involves supporting purchases, checking deliveries and storing goods correctly. The Trainee will model safe work practices, following WHS procedures and ensure hygiene standards are maintained across all areas of the canteen.

The trainee may be required to work beyond normal hours to support college events and functions. Applicants are encouraged to clearly outline their skills, experience and suitability for this traineeship in their application.

National Training Wage from: $27,300 – $42,100, plus 12% Superannuation
