Darling Range Sports College provides specialist school-based sporting programs in AFL, Athletics, Baseball, Basketball, Netball, Rugby League, Soccer and Swimming. They aim to develop a school community that encourages resilience and independence. Staff are fully committed to supporting students in their academic, sporting and career ambitions by maintaining the highest standards of teaching and learning. Fundamental to the college is that students leave school as happy, confident and hardworking young adults.

The Trainee will assist relevant staff/leaders at Darling Range Sports College to continue to run and implement a successful program in school Sport, Health and Physical Education programs, with the sports program being the predominate focus.

Key Responsibilities: The Sports and Physical Education Trainee will support the delivery of programs, support during school camps, assists with coaching, training and representing teams at events and carnivals. The trainee will manage equipment and uniforms, assist with community engagement and be an integral part of the college’s co-curricular program. The role also involves record keeping, maintaining facilities and equipment, as well as carrying out a range of general administrative and operational tasks.

A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential. The position may involve weekend work and travel throughout the year. Applicants must also be able to work before or after school hours as required. Applicants are encouraged to clearly outline their skills, experience and suitability for this traineeship in their application.

National Training Wage from: $28,400 – $43,700, plus 12% Superannuation
