The Sports and Recreation Trainee will work closely with school staff to support the delivery of programs and events throughout the year. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sport, health, physical education and outdoor activities.

Key Responsibilities: General duties include assisting with inter-school competitions, athletics / swimming carnivals and trials prior to events. The role involves helping at assemblies to promote sport, updating results, as well as helping with coaching and training sessions. It also includes ensuring equipment is well managed, stored correctly and used responsibly.

The Trainee is expected to actively support the School’s ethos and willingness to support others with an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential. The position may involve weekend work and travel throughout the year. Applicants must also be able to work before or after school hours as required. Applicants are encouraged to clearly outline their skills, experience and suitability for this traineeship in their application.

National Training Wage from: $27,300 – $42,100 (pro-rata), plus 12% Superannuation
