Fully Funded Qualification: Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation

Work onsite with: Marian College

As a Performing Arts Trainee, you will play an active role in supporting the smooth delivery of classes, rehearsals and performances. This includes assisting with the setup of programs, providing backstage, lighting, sound and technical support, as well as helping with the preparation and organisation of costumes and props. You will also support student performers during rehearsals and backstage, maintain facilities and equipment, plus contribute to College productions, concerts and assemblies.

The Sport and Recreation Trainee supports the College’s Health and Physical Education programs, sporting events and aquatic activities while developing practical skills and knowledge with in sport and recreation

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will assist PE staff with lesson preparation, equipment setup and supervision. They will contribute to the running of school sporting carnivals, inter-school competitions and other recreational activities. You will also provide support with organising and supervision of aquatics-based programs. Other administrative tasks include booking venues, recording results and assist preparing fixtures.

The Trainee is expected to actively support the School’s Catholic ethos and willingness to support others with an enthusiastic attitude. A commitment to contributing to a positive and supportive school environment is essential. Applicants must also be able to work before or after school hours as required.

National Training Wage from: $23,300 – $42,100, plus 12% Superannuation
