  • Fully funded qualification: Certificate III in Business
  • Work 1 day per week on-site with the Commonwealth Bank

The Warumilang Program is our dedicated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Program, designed to support First Nations peoples with tailored employment and training pathways that aim to provide opportunities for them to thrive and succeed.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Earn while you complete Year 11 and 12
  • Gain hands-on experience with the Commonwealth Bank
  • Work 1 day per week over two years while completing a nationally recognised qualification
  • Receive credits towards your VCE, VCAL, TCE, or HSC
  • Supportive team environment
  • Support from a dedicated AFL SportsReady Employment Coach and First Nations Mentor to help you achieve your goals
WHO CAN APPLY?

We’re looking for students who:

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • Will be turning 16 or above in 2026
  • Are starting Year 11 or 12 in 2026 (VCE, VCAL, TCE, or HSC)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • General administrative support
  • Client and customer relations
  • Respond to customer service enquiries
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • A permanent right to work in Australia
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
  • Capacity to problem-solve
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude

SALARY

As the successful candidate, you will receive:

  • School-based trainees will receive the National Training Wage Award.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS

Successful applicants must provide 100 points of identification to complete a background check as part of the recruitment process.
