The group aims to deliver leading quality sport, surf and rivalry product for local communities offering best class customer service and experience, across 15 outlets with some 150 staff.

The Retail Operations Trainee is responsible for supporting the store team in achieving the financial and branding objectives of the business. They contribute to a constructive team environment, maintain strong customer service standards, and uphold the expectations in areas such as shrinkage, visual merchandising, and communication. The Trainee is to uphold company values and expectations, represents the brand with professionalism, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee helps meet store sales targets by applying company selling steps in all customer interactions, including on the shop floor, at the counter and in fitting rooms. They complete transactions accurately using POS systems. Complete display updates as directed, follow sales and promotional directives, and maintain store presentation through daily housekeeping. Administrative tasks include completing Retail Operations Standardisation and Evaluation (ROSE) modules, Asana Management and other business documentation. Maintaining a high level of security awareness to minimise loss or damage, and report incidents. Th Trainee ensures correct stock handling and transfer, processes markdowns efficiently and maintains accurate stock records. Seek relationships with local clubs, businesses and community groups, and sharing opportunities with the Store Manager.

The Trainee is a reliable, self-motivated person who communicates effectively and collaborates well with others. They have a strong focus on sales performance, work well in a team environment and manage their time efficiently. The role requires solid communication and interpersonal skills and willing to learn to interpret sales data.

National Training Wage from: $27,000, plus 12% Superannuation
