The Health and Physical Education Trainee plays a crucial role in assisting Health and Physical Education (HPE) staff to ensure the smooth operation of the Learning Area. This diverse role includes managing equipment, supporting curriculum delivery, contributing to the planning / execution of physical education / outdoor activities, while also providing leadership and guidance to students in achieving their potential.

Key Responsibilities: The Health and Physical Education Trainee will assist with management and maintenance of storerooms for Physical Education and Outdoor Education. They will assist with organising carnivals, expeditions and extracurricular sporting activities such assisting with practical sessions and umpiring. Additional responsibilities include supporting staff with administrative tasks such as maintaining databases, organising bookings and organising learning resources. The role also involves aiding relief teachers, supporting student engagement, ensuring compliance with the school’s policies and safety standards.

This role supports student safety and wellbeing in line with the school’s Code of Conduct and Child Safety policies. Tasks may vary as directed by the Manager of Corporate Services, HoLA of HPE or their delegates.

National Training Wage from: Salary Range $27,000 – $43,000, plus 12.0% Superannuation

This role is suitable for a recent year 12 school leaver or a mature age candidate
