As an IT / Library Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting staff and students with a variety of IT and library services. This role involves managing the circulation desk, providing technical support, maintaining the college’s computer network, overseeing the processing and organisation of resources. You will also contribute to student engagement by organising lunchtime activities and managing ID card distribution.

Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will manage the circulation desk, helping staff and students with resource checkouts, returns and general inquiries. You will provide basic troubleshooting, technical support for computers and other equipment, including tasks such as resetting passwords, installing printers and connecting devices to the wireless network. Additionally, you will assist with the maintenance of the college’s computer network, processing new resources, stocktaking and shelving. You will also support the setup, configuration of new computers / software and assist staff and students with computer-related issues, escalating problems if necessary. Finally, you will organise and supervise lunchtime activities, create displays, handle the production and distribution of ID cards for new students and staff.

This role provides a hands-on learning opportunity in both IT and library services within a supportive educational environment. You will gain valuable experience in customer service, technical support, resource management and student engagement. Full training and mentorship will be provided.
People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.

National Training Wage from: $21,500, plus 11.5% Superannuation

This role is suitable for recent secondary school leavers
