The Administrative Assistant Traineeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various administrative functions within a school environment. As a Trainee, you will provide essential support to the College Leadership Team, working closely with the Principal’s EA and other staff members. This role allows you to develop a wide range of skills, including administrative, reception and customer service tasks, while actively contributing to the smooth operation of the college’s daily activities.
Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will assist in the coordination of meetings and administrative tasks, including managing bookings and providing support to the finance team. You will serve as a first point of contact for visitors, ensuring they are welcomed and directed appropriately, as well as handling phone queries and messages efficiently. Additionally, you will contribute to event management and logistics, supporting the organisation of various school events and pastoral care programs. There may also be opportunities to assist with attendance records, behaviour management administration and provide pastoral care support to students in need.
This traineeship is ideal for individuals looking to develop a career in administration, with a focus on education. Applicants should have strong communication and customer service skills, along with proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets. A First Aid certificate and a valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration are required, or a willingness to obtain them. You will gain valuable experience working in a busy, collaborative environment, while also learning to work independently and manage a variety of tasks.
National Training Wage from: $21,500, plus 11.5% Superannuation
