The Western Bulldogs Football Club is a proud AFL team based in West Footscray, known for its strong community connections and commitment to fostering talent both on and off the field.
The role is focused on providing high-quality support across various departments, including Consumer, Marketing, Communications, Commercial Operations, the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and the AFL Men’s and AFLW Football departments. The position requires managing customer enquiries, assisting with membership sales, contributing to marketing campaigns and supporting match day and community activations. Additionally, the role involves assisting with event planning, sponsorship coordination and the administration of community programs, ensuring the smooth operation of events and football-related activities.
Key Responsibilities: This role includes responding to customer enquiries, managing data in a central database system and supporting membership sales through both inbound and outbound communication channels. You will contribute to marketing efforts by assisting in campaign development, including creating briefs and social media content to boost crowd attendance for AFL and AFLW games. Additionally, you will support match day activations, community engagement activities and assist with delivering sponsor benefits, corporate hospitality, and events. Responsibilities extend to helping the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation in planning and delivering their health and wellbeing programs, as well as providing administrative support to the AFL Men’s and AFLW football departments.
For more information about the responsibilities of this position, you will have opportunities to assist with key marketing and community events, work closely with multiple teams, and gain exposure to the inner workings of AFL and AFLW departments. The role requires versatility, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across a variety of operational areas. Through your involvement, you will gain valuable experience in fan engagement, community program management, and the delivery of match day operations.
People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.

National Training Wage from: $25,000, plus 11.5% Superannuation
