In his role Andrew deals with customers, helps to manage processes such as tax file numbers and passports and takes charge of stock take.

“I am constantly developing new skills, there is really so much to learn here.”

Dedicated, diligent and dependable are just some of the many words to describe Andrew and his work ethic. Passionate about his role, he is always looking to further his knowledge in the industry by completing extra courses and qualifications.

“In February I applied for a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management course through Australia Post’s Professional Development program and was successful in my application. I travel once a month to Sydney for a week to complete the course. I love learning and advancing my skills in my career. ”

In the short term, Andrew has his sights set on becoming a Senior Postal Services Officer. He is also keen on completing a Diploma in Leadership and Management next year to further develop his skills within Australia Post. At this year’s Victorian graduation ceremony Andrew was awarded the 2018 School-based Trainee of the Year Award and revealed his career ambitions during his acceptance speech.

“Several people at the Australia Post became aware of my desire to one day lead the company and now my new nickname around the office is CEO. I like the way it sounds,” Andrew said with a smile.
