DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Health & Physical Education Learning Area leader, the Sport Co-ordinator, in addition to undertaking the study component of the traineeship, will provide support in the administration, operation and maintenance of the school’s sporting facilities, programs and classes.

Duty Areas

❖ Health, Physical Education and Sport Prep – 10
❖ Intra/Interschool Sport Year Prep-12
❖ Camps
❖ Lunchtime competitions
❖ After School training

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills and Experience

● Possess a strong interest in sports, sports instruction/coaching and sports management.
● Enjoy outdoor recreation activities
● Needs have experience participating in a club sport and have good understanding across a minimum of three sports
● Computer skills relevant to the position including excel, word, google drive, file management, email, photo gallery. School platforms will be taught including compass
● Ability to communicate and interact effectively with staff, students, parents and other stakeholders in multiple mediums such as phone, email and face to face.
● Ability to prioritise workload and have strong organisational skills

Required Qualifications

● Must have a current Victorian Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
● Police Check
● Driver’s License

SALARY

As the successful candidate, you will receive:

$26,000 – $36,000 plus 11% Superannuation

National Training Wage Award
Fully Funded Qualification

MORE INFORMATION

People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
