This role is pivotal to ensuring the smooth operation of Adelaide Fringe’s day-to-day activities. You will manage communications by screening and directing telephone calls, responding to enquiries via phone, email and other correspondence and providing essential administrative support. The position also involves assisting with various HR initiatives, supporting the volunteer program and working on diversity, inclusion and sustainability initiatives, which are central to the Adelaide Fringe’s values.
Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of this position include managing office operations to ensure the efficient functioning of the Adelaide Fringe office, providing administrative support across multiple departments and assisting with HR, finance and production tasks. A crucial aspect of the role is actively working on diversity and inclusion initiatives, including facilitating and supporting the celebration of significant cultural and awareness events such as Reconciliation Week, NAIDOC Week, Refugee Week, Harmony Week, IDAHOBIT Day and International Women’s Day. You will also play a key role in implementing and tracking various action plans for reconciliation, disability access, inclusion, and sustainability. Additionally, you will assist with financial tasks, including expense coding and artist settlements, and contribute to production needs, such as managing event documentation and assisting with event logistics.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work across diverse tasks and departments. You will be expected to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, maintain high standards of customer service and be adaptable to the evolving needs of the organisation. The position also offers opportunities for growth in areas such as HR, diversity and inclusion, event production. Flexibility is key, as additional tasks may be assigned to support the dynamic nature of the Adelaide Fringe’s operations.
People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.

National Training Wage from: $21,500, plus 11.5% Superannuation
