As a Landscape Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in landscape construction and assist with a variety of landscaping tasks under the guidance of a skilled Landscape Gardener. This apprenticeship role is designed to provide you with foundational skills in landscaping, allowing you to develop the competencies needed to achieve a Certificate III in Landscape Construction.

Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will assist with the delivery of landscaping programs and services by performing general maintenance of equipment and facilities. You will support class preparation and set-up, ensuring that all resources are ready for practical learning. Your landscaping duties will include moving soil, equipment, materials, digging holes, mixing fertilisers with soil and planting. Additional tasks involve setting up supports for trees, watering plants, spreading straw over seeded areas and assisting in the creation of garden borders and decorative landscapes.

As a Landscape Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience in various landscape construction techniques, including lawn mowing, cement mixing and form building for garden structures. This role will also involve regular outdoor work and physical tasks like hauling, digging, using tools, which will support your training and growth in landscape construction. Commitment to achieving the Certificate III qualification through the apprenticeship is required.

National Training Wage from: $21,500, plus 11.5% Superannuation
