The Sports/PE Trainee will work under the supervision of an allocated teacher, assisting in the coordination of extracurricular activities and school sports programs. The role also includes supporting the allocation and return of lunchtime activity equipment, as well as setting up and running college clubs. The Trainee will be required to attend excursions, camps and providing assistance to staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities: The Trainee will assist in monitoring equipment and activities, ensuring the safety of users, staff and equipment. Responsibilities also include maintaining the cleanliness of facilities, setting up and dismantling equipment for scheduled activities and helping to organise sporting or leisure events. Additional duties involve providing advice and supervision for the College’s activities, completing administrative tasks and any other responsibilities assigned by the Principal.

This role requires flexibility, as the Trainee may be asked to perform additional tasks as requested by their supervisor or management. The successful applicant will gain valuable experience in sports and physical education environments while contributing to the smooth operation of school programs and events.
People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.

National Training Wage from: $21,500, plus 11.5% Superannuation

This role is suitable for recent secondary school leavers
