AFL NSW/ACT is responsible for the governance, administration, development and marketing of all aspects of Australian Football throughout the region. AFL NSW/ACT covers four predominant sub-regions, ACT, South Coast/Illawarra, Sydney Harbour, Greater Western Sydney and Northern NSW, encompassing 14 leagues and 260 clubs. AFL NSW/ACT’s development arm is responsible for the growth and development of Australian Football across the region.

The role supports the Deployment Team in ensuring the smooth delivery of AFL programs across schools and community venues in Greater Sydney. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency using systems like Deputy and Salesforce, while delivering AFL programs to a high standard in alignment with curriculum and organisational expectations. This hybrid role requires three days per week in the office and focuses on facilitating engagement and growth in AFL initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: The individual will lead various AFL programs, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard while mentoring new casual staff members during their onboarding process, both in the field and with rostering systems. They will be responsible for coordinating and booking key programs, particularly through Sporting Schools and engaging with schools, teachers and stakeholders to drive further AFL opportunities. Additionally, they will support broader operational duties as required, working closely with the Deployment Coordinator/Lead.

This hybrid role offers a mix of office-based and on-site work, providing a dynamic environment for the right candidate to thrive. With a focus on communication and independent initiative, the individual will be responsible for driving program excellence, supporting staff and managing key stakeholder relationships to further expand AFL’s presence in Greater Sydney.

National Training Wage from: $21,500, plus 11.5% Superannuation
