Boasting the premier State League in Australia, SANFL is the governing body for Australian Rules Football in South Australia.

The role is dedicated to providing high-quality experiences through program delivery and coaching, aimed at promoting and growing grassroots Australian Rules Football. This includes leading various initiatives such as school promotions, coaching clinics, Auskick, Sporting Schools, competitions, and school holiday programs. The position is crucial in fostering participation and engagement within schools and communities, ensuring that young athletes have positive, developmental experiences with the sport.

Key Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for delivering Auskick programs by providing best-in-class coaching and ensuring high program standards through effective promotion and practical delivery in schools and community clubs. They will also oversee football training sessions, assist with game day operations for SANFL School competitions, and manage participant and team registrations. In addition, they will coordinate the delivery of Sporting School and school holiday programs, ensuring high-quality coaching and engaging with parents and stakeholders to gather feedback and drive improvements. The role also requires collaboration with SANFL departments and community clubs, building strong relationships and ensuring that safety, safeguarding, and workplace health policies are strictly adhered to.

We are seeking a candidate passionate about growing Australian Rules Football at the grassroots level, with strong communication skills and a commitment to creating safe and inclusive environments for participants. People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.

National Training Wage from: $21,500, plus 11.5% Superannuation
