2022 Virtual Grad Party Wrap Up!

Last Thursday we held our 2022 Virtual Graduation Party in celebration of the 426 young people who graduated from our traineeship program in the past year.

What a night! From special congratulatory messages to fantastic entertainment, inspirational speeches to announcing our trainee award winners. The 2022 Virtual Graduation Party was a success with many trainees, host employers and staff tuning in to a virtual event to celebrate the graduating class of 2022.

The night kicked off with an inspirational speech by AFL SportsReady Alumni, Julian Pace, the CEO and founder of Happiness Co. who shared his story to inspire others to overcome everyday challenges in order to create and sustain their own happiness.

Brett Lee, aka Pirritu a proud Ngiyampaa man and First-Nation’s singer-songwriter, performed as the names of the graduating class were displayed, and we announced our First Nations Trainee of the Year and AFLSR Trainee of the Year award winners for each state.

To mark the occasion all graduating trainees received a ‘Grad Kit’ in the post, pre-event, which included their certificate, notepad, alumni pen, raffle ticket and personalized note from the team at AFLSR.
